Olga Ast is a conceptual interdisciplinary artist & researcher. The "Visualization of Time" is one of her latest projects where she compares the different historical & current conceptions of time & proposes a new approach that synthesizes artistic vision with scientific investigation. It is an active outlet of her investigation into SPACE as the author's principal medium of installations entitled SPACE Traps that have been exhibited in Moscow, New York & worldwide since the 1980s. Among her publications: essays “In search of Absent Time,” “Origin of Forms,” and books Field of Vision and Fleeing from Absence.

Jacques Laroche is a computer scientist who explores the intersection between science, politics and society. He has written related works on his blog, Current Perspectives, and recently presented a paper on The Ethics of Sustainability at the Humanities and Technology Association conference in Terre Haute, Indiana. Jacques is currently working with The Future Salon, an outreach group for the Acceleration Studies Foundation that advances awareness and dialog regarding accelerating processes of planetary and universal change.

Richard Leslie's recent research and curatorial efforts concentrate on the intersections of art criticism and sociology, on the writing of global histories outside the networks of commercial galleries, and on the effect of technology and science on contemporary art and theory. He has degrees in philosophy, art theory, criticism, and art history. His publications include books on Picasso, Surrealism, and pop art, as well as reviews for the New Art Examiner and others. H is a professor at SUNY-Stony Brook in the Art History and Theory program and he lectures and works with artists at the School of Visual Arts.

George Musser, who covers astronomy and fundamental physics for Scientific American magazine, was the originator and an editor of the special issue ‘A Matter of Time' in September 2003, which won a National Magazine Award for editorial excellence. His first book, The Complete Idiot's Guide to String Theory, was published in July 2008.

Ken Jacobs, SUNY, experimental filmmaker, is Professor of Cinema Emeritus, SUNY Binghamton, & a creator of the paracinematic Nervous Magic Lantern performances, including ‘Space, Time, & Troubles.' Jacobs' video & film work have been seen around the world, & he was one of 100 artists chosen for the Whitney Museum of American Art's "American Century: Art & Culture, 1950-2000" survey.

Daniel Rosenberg, Associate Professor of History, Robert D. Clark Honors College, University of Oregon. Professor Rosenberg is author, with Anthony Grafton, of Cartographies of Time (forthcoming 2010), and editor of Histories of the Future with anthropologist Susan Harding. Among his other publications: Arts of Memory, A Timeline of Timelines & An Eighteenth-Century Time Machine. His current project is entitled The Graphic Invention of Modern Time.

Jesse Stewart is a percussionist, improviser, composer, visual artist, instrument builder, writer, and researcher dedicated to re-imagining the space between artistic disciplines. As a composer/performer, he works primarily in the areas of jazz, new music, and free improvisation. His music has been featured at festivals throughout Canada and in Europe where he has performed with such acclaimed figures as George Lewis, Roswell Rudd, Evan Parker, Bill Dixon, William Parker, Pauline Oliveros, and Joe Mcphee. He has exhibited time-based visual art in over a dozen solo and group exhibitions in private and public galleries. He is currently a professor in Carleton University's School for Studies in Art and Culture.

Tatyana Tenenbaum is a dancer, choreographer, composer and video artist who has collaborated with with artists such as Jennifer Sussman, Lucinda Segar, Mara Poliak, and Hannah Verrill. She has performed in Ohio, Western Massachussettes and Boston with ensembles Die Audio Grouppe, Ensemble 46, Premium Bananas and Rock & Roll Miniatures. Her own work has been presented in New York by The Flea, Movement Research, AUNTS and chashama.

Matvei Yankelevich is the editor of the Eastern European Poets Series at Ugly Duckling Presse, the co-editor of 6×6 poetry periodical & the co-translator, with Eugene Ostashevsky, of An Invitation For Me To Think, the selected poems of Alexander Vvedensky, & of Russian Absurdism: OBERIU. His writing & his critical work have appeared in various magazines. He teaches Russian Literature at Hunter College in New York.

Vera Zolberg, Professor of Sociology, The New School for Social Research, New York, USA, author of books on Sociology of Collective Memory, Sociology of the Arts, Professor of Liberal Studies & Sociology at the New School University in New York City, & co-editor of Outsider Art: Contested Boundaries in Contemporary Culture.
